I was Dying

There she was by the lake
sitting just wide awake
crying and sobbing
while I was gazing

Here Tone was rising
just mesmerising
whispering
'I was dying'

The song of soul
like wolf's howl
like a lion's growl
It's a stroll
on the edge
of a high pitched prowl
Dawn was starting to go

She was just sobbing in the flow
whispering 'I was dying'
The sky was dark
with group of crows flying
she was whispering
'I was dying'

Beautiful was her face
like a well made maze
whispering 'I was dying'
Turns out, she was lying

Hyderabad

The basti filled with
glamour, and the chai of irani
the smell of
dum biryani

from the era of nizams
came the ruins of the city
the city so great, it has
stories of valour
carved into the heart of its core

money is never lonely
for in this city, it's
used on everyday things
for, the indian roller sings

night time's the best
in this great city of hyderabad
as it sparkles with lights
take a stroll you feel like sinbad

the ramzaan haleem
tasty it is, as it may seem
dawn reaches
the great city of hyderabad
